Usually, I use weedeater cord to tie around the squirrel but I am out...Been weedeating!
You can use a squirrel tail to tease the pup and improve interest. The point is to get the pups to understand what you want them to smell for and chase when you take them to the timber.
This isn't something I do all the time, just to get a pup excited. As you can see from the pictures, they really like it!
A fishing pole is great if you are just using a squirrel tail.
